FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON EXTREMELY
DANGEROUS HURRICANE IVAN LOCATED ABOUT 95 MILES NORTH OF CURACAO IN
THE NETHERLAND ANTILLES. I

TROPICAL DEPRESSION FRANCES IS CENTERED OVER WEST VIRGINIA MOVING
NORTH-NORTHEASTWARD AT 20 MPH. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON FRANCES
CAN BE FOUND IN PUBLIC ADVISORIES ISSUED BY THE HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL
PREDICTION CENTER UNDER AWIPS HEADER TCPAT1 AND WMO HEADER WTNT31
KWNH.

AN AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER LOCATED ABOUT 600 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS IS MOVING WESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH.  THERE
ARE NO SIGNS OF DEVELOPMENT.

A LARGE TROPICAL WAVE...ACCOMPANIED BY A WEAK SURFACE LOW PRESSURE
AREA...IS CENTERED ABOUT 1000 MILES EAST OF THE LESSER ANTILLES.
THIS SYSTEM IS REMAINS POORLY ORGANIZED BUT IT HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR
SLOW DEVELOPMENT DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO AS IT MOVES WEST-
NORTHWESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH.

AN ELONGATED LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CENTERED ABOUT 475 MILES SOUTHWEST
OF THE AZORES ISLANDS IS MOVING SLOWLY NORTHEASTWARD.  WHILE THE
ASSOCIATED THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY HAS BECOME MORE CONCENTRATED THIS
EVENING...UPPER-LEVEL WINDS REMAIN UNFAVORABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT AT
THIS TIME.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
FRIDAY.
