THIS STATEMENT RECOMMENDS ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN BY RESIDENTS IN THE
FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF SOUTHEAST GEORGIA...CAMDEN AND GLYNN...AS WELL
AS THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS.

...WATCHES/WARNINGS...
A TROPICAL STORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE COASTAL SECTIONS OF
CAMDEN AND GLYNN COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST GEORGIA AND ADJACENT
COASTAL WATERS.

...STORM INFORMATION...
AT 8 AM EDT...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION SEVEN WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 31.3 NORTH...LONGITUDE 78.3 WEST OR ABOUT 135 MILES
SOUTHEAST OF CHARLESTON SOUTH CAROLINA.

THE DEPRESSION IS CURRENTLY STATIONARY. A WEST TO WEST-NORTHWEST
DRIFT IS EXPECTED TODAY. THIS MOTION WILL BRING THE CENTER CLOSER TO
THE SOUTHEASTERN U.S. COAST.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 35 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. SOME
STRENGTHENING IS FORECAST AND THE DEPRESSION COULD BECOME A TROPICAL
STORM LATER TODAY.

...PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
AT THIS TIME...THE PRIMARY IMPACT FROM TROPICAL DEPRESSION
SEVEN FOR SOUTHEAST GEORGIA WILL BE IN THE COASTAL AND OFFSHORE
WATERS. COASTAL AND MARINE INTERESTS IN SOUTHEAST GEORGIA SHOULD
REVIEW PREPAREDNESS PLANS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION QUICKLY IN
THE EVENT WARNINGS ARE REQUIRED.

...STORM SURGE FLOOD AND STORM TIDE IMPACTS...
NONE AT THIS TIME.

...WIND IMPACTS...
WINDS IN THE COASTAL WATERS AND ALONG THE IMMEDIATE COAST WILL LIKELY
INCREASE TO 15 TO 25 MPH BY THIS AFTERNOON. ANY MOTION CLOSER TO THE
SOUTHEAST GEORGIA COAST THAN CURRENTLY FORECAST WOULD RESULT IN
STRONGER WINDS.

...SEAS AND RIP CURRENTS...
BOATERS ALONG THE GEORGIA COAST CAN EXPECT SEAS TO GRADUALLY BUILD TO
AROUND 4 TO 6 FEET...POSSIBLY AS HIGH AS 7 FEET IN THE OFFSHORE
WATERS. MARINERS SHOULD MONITOR LATER STATEMENTS AND NOT VENTURE FAR
FROM SAFE HARBOR. SWELLS FROM THE TROPICAL DEPRESSION WILL GRADUALLY
INCREASE THE RIP CURRENT RISK TO THE MODERATE RANGE MAINLY OVER
SOUTHEAST GEORGIA COAST TODAY AND SUNDAY.
