FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON STRENGTHENING
TROPICAL STORM FRANCES...CENTERED ABOUT 1105 MILES EAST OF THE
LESSER ANTILLES.

AN ELONGATED BAND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...LOCATED JUST
OFFSHORE THE SOUTHEASTERN COAST OF THE UNITED STATES AND EXTENDING
EASTWARD TO SOUTH OF BERMUDA...IS ASSOCIATED WITH WEAK LOW PRESSURE
AREAS ALONG A DISSIPATING FRONTAL SYSTEM.  SURFACE PRESSURES ARE
HIGH AND THERE ARE CURRENTLY NO SIGNS OF TROPICAL DEVELOPMENT.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH FRIDAY.
