...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN RUTHERFORD...WEST
CENTRAL WARREN...NORTHERN COFFEE...NORTHEASTERN BEDFORD AND CANNON
COUNTIES THROUGH 215 PM CDT...

At 142 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported strong thunderstorms
along a line extending from Woodbury to near Murfreesboro. Movement
was southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This includes Interstate 24 between mile markers 76 and 98.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
