...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following
  counties, De Kalb, Overton and Putnam.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 617 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms moving slowly across the area. Radar estimates
    up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Cookeville, Algood, Baxter, Rickman, Crawford and Edgar Evans
    State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
