...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southwestern Smith,
De Kalb, eastern Wilson and northeastern Cannon Counties through 300
AM CDT...

At 236 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Watertown, or 10 miles southwest of Carthage, moving southeast at 50
mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Lebanon, Smithville, Watertown, Gordonsville, Hickman, Alexandria,
Dowelltown, Liberty, Auburntown, Center Hill Lake, Tuckers Crossroads
and Edgar Evans State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 239 and 258.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Brief heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to localized minor flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
