...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Overton, northwestern
Pickett, central De Kalb, Jackson, southeastern Clay, northwestern
White and Putnam Counties through 1245 AM CDT...

At 1153 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Gainesboro to 6 miles west of Baxter to 6
miles west of Smithville. Movement was northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Cookeville, Smithville, Livingston, Celina, Gainesboro, Byrdstown,
Algood, Baxter, Hamptons Crossroads, Bakers Crossroads, Whitleyville,
Burgess Falls State Park, Rickman, Center Hill Lake, Dale Hollow
Lake, Edgar Evans State Park, Cummins Falls State Park and Standing
Stone State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 267 and 296.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for Middle
Tennessee.
