...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN DAVIDSON AND
SOUTHERN SUMNER COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned
area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 PM CDT for
Middle Tennessee.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 PM CDT
FOR WESTERN SMITH...CENTRAL RUTHERFORD...EAST CENTRAL WILLIAMSON...
WILSON AND SOUTHWESTERN TROUSDALE COUNTIES...

At 1209 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 8 miles southwest of Hartsville to near Murfreesboro,
moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Murfreesboro, Lebanon, Smyrna, La Vergne, Mount Juliet, Nolensville,
Watertown, Walterhill, South Carthage, Lascassas, Tuckers Crossroads,
Dixon Springs, Pleasant Shade, Dickerson Chapel Recreation Area,
Cedars Of Lebanon State Park, Milton and Gladeville.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 40 between mile markers 229 and 253.
 Interstate 24 between mile markers 65 and 80.
 Interstate 840 between mile markers 45 and 76.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
