...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southeastern Overton
and eastern Putnam Counties through 445 AM CDT...

At 406 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Monterey, or 9 miles east of Cookeville, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Cookeville, Algood and Monterey.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 292 and 304.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Brief heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to localized minor flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
