...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northeastern Maury
and central Williamson Counties through 230 AM CDT...

At 203 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Thompson's Station, or 10 miles south of Franklin, moving northeast
at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Franklin, Columbia, Brentwood, Spring Hill, Nolensville, Thompson's
Station, Santa Fe and Leipers Fork.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 65 between mile markers 52 and 72.
 Interstate 840 between mile markers 16 and 35.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Brief heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to minor localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
