...NWS Damage Survey for 10/12/22 Williamson County Straight
Line Thunderstorm Winds...

A localized area of strong straight line winds impacted areas in
northern Williamson County late Wednesday evening. A NWS survey
team determined that peak winds of up to 75 mph downed very large
tree limbs and several trees along a path from the
Williamson/Dickson County line west of Fairview to around Hwy 96
west of Franklin. Structural damage appeared to be limited to a
gas station awning on Hwy 100 and damage to mobile homes caused by
downed trees on Festival Court in Fairview. Winds appeared to
have weakened after the storm crossed Hwy 96, where a tree fell,
fatally injuring a motorist in the area.
