...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southwestern Smith,
east central Davidson, northwestern De Kalb, southern Sumner, Wilson
and southwestern Trousdale Counties through 615 PM CDT...

At 542 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Hendersonville to 6 miles north of Lebanon to
near Watertown. Movement was east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Gallatin, Lebanon, Hartsville, Hendersonville, Mount Juliet,
Lakewood, Watertown, Old Hickory, Alexandria, Dowelltown, Liberty,
Green Hill, Tuckers Crossroads, Bledsoe Creek State Park and
Dickerson Chapel Recreation Area.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 40 between mile markers 230 and 256.
 Interstate 840 between mile markers 73 and 76.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
