...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM CDT
FOR WESTERN CUMBERLAND...VAN BUREN AND SOUTHEASTERN WHITE COUNTIES...

At 606 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles southeast of Sparta to near Spencer, moving
northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Spencer, Pleasant Hill, Virgin Falls State Natural Area and Fall
Creek Falls State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 311 and 315.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
