...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM CDT THIS
EVENING FOR SOUTHWESTERN CUMBERLAND COUNTY...

At 540 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated the thunderstorms producing
heavy rain are moving out of the warned area. However, radar
estimates between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen in the Midway
and Latana communities of southwest Cumberland County. Any flood
waters will take some time to recede.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Midway, Lantana, southern Crossville, Crab Orchard, Lake Tansi,
  Cumberland Mountain State Park and Indian Rock Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
