...The Flood Advisory is extended for the following rivers in
Alabama...Tennessee...

  Elk River Near Prospect affecting Giles and Limestone Counties.

For the Elk River...including Prospect...elevated river levels are
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.

The next statement will be issued this afternoon at 515 PM CST.

...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Elk River Near Prospect.

* WHEN...Until late this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 24.5 feet, Water begins to approach Veto Rd near the
  Hargrove - Johnson bridge.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:15 AM CST Saturday the stage was 23.9 feet and falling.
  - Forecast...The river will fall to 15.8 feet and then begin
    rising early tomorrow afternoon. It will then rise again to
    16.9 feet early Monday morning. It will fall to 13.3 feet and
    then begin rising Tuesday evening. It will then rise again to
    13.6 feet Wednesday morning. It will fall again and remain
    below flood stage.
  - Action stage is 22.0 feet.
  - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
