...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southeastern Overton,
northern De Kalb, northern White and Putnam Counties through 1230 PM
CST...

At 1138 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Baxter to 9 miles northwest of Smithville.
Movement was east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Cookeville, Sparta, Smithville, Algood, Monterey, Baxter, Dowelltown,
Liberty, Hamptons Crossroads, Bakers Crossroads, Burgess Falls State
Park, Center Hill Lake and Edgar Evans State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 268 and 304.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
