...The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a Flood
Advisory for the following rivers in Alabama...Tennessee...

  Elk River Near Prospect affecting Giles and Limestone Counties.

For the Elk River...including Pelham, Prospect...elevated river
levels are forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternative route.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.

The next statement will be issued this evening at 730 PM CST.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM EARLY THIS MORNING TO EARLY
TOMORROW AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Elk River Near Prospect.

* WHEN...From early this morning to early tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 24.5 feet, Water begins to approach Veto Rd near the
  Hargrove - Johnson bridge.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:15 AM CST Friday the stage was 15.0 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to a crest of 24.2 feet this
    evening. It will then fall below action stage by Saturday
    morning.
  - Action stage is 22.0 feet.
  - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
