This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Middle Tennessee.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

An Arctic cold front is expected to bring gusty winds and
dangerously cold temperatures to Middle Tennessee from Thursday
through the holiday weekend, with temperatures likely remaining
below freezing from late Thursday through the following Monday. This
extended period of below freezing temperatures could cause exposed
or unprotected pipes to rupture, as well as result in isolated power
outages. In addition, wind chills as low as 10 below zero will be
dangerous to people and animals that are outdoors for any extended
period of time.

In addition, light rain is expected to spread across Middle
Tennessee Wednesday night into early Thursday, with rain likely
changing to light snow by late Thursday before ending early Friday.
Light snow accumulations appear possible, which combined with the
very cold temperatures could create hazardous travel conditions from
late Thursday into the holiday weekend.
