...Climate Summary for November, 2022...

Most of Middle Tennessee received more rainfall in November than
during the previous couple of months, but the mid state still
finished the month in a moderate to severe drought. Temperatures
were quite typical for November with warm weather occurring during
the first part of the month followed by a cold spell lasting
several days, followed by more normal readings toward the end of
the month.

In Nashville, the average temperature was 51.9 degrees, which was
1.6 degrees above normal. The average high temperature was 62.9
degrees and the average low temperature was 40.8 degrees. The
highest temperature was 81 degrees on the 9th and the lowest
temperature was 21 degrees on the 21st. There were 11 days on
which the temperature dropped to 32 degrees or below.

Rainfall for November totaled 4.38 inches. This was 0.52 inches
above normal. The greatest 24-hour rainfall was 1.69 inches on the
29th and 30th. There were 12 days with measurable rainfall and 2
days with an inch or more.

There were two days with thunderstorms and the peak wind gust was
49 mph on the 5th.

In Clarksville, the average temperature was 49.7 degrees, which
was 1.6 degrees above normal. The average high temperature was
61.7 degrees and the average low temperature was 37.7 degrees.
The highest temperature was 81 degrees on the 4th and the 9th and
the lowest temperature was 18 degrees on the 21st. There were 14
days on which the temperature dropped to 32 degrees or below.

Rainfall for November totaled 1.69 inches. This was 2.35 inches
below normal. The greatest 24-hour rainfall was 0.64 inches on
the 29th and 30th. There were 11 days with measurable rainfall.

There were two days with thunderstorms and the peak wind gust was
45 mph on the 5th.

In Crossville, the average temperature was 47.2 degrees, which
was 1.2 degrees above normal. The average high temperature was
57.7 degrees and the average low temperature was 36.6 degrees.
The highest temperature was 77 degrees on the 8th and the lowest
temperature was 18 degrees on the 21st. There were 12 days on
which the temperature dropped to 32 degrees or below.

Rainfall for November totaled 4.97 inches. This was 0.23 inches
above normal. The greatest 24-hour rainfall was 2.45 inches on
the 29th and 30th. There were 9 days with measurable rainfall and
3 days with an inch or more.

There were zero days with thunderstorms and the peak wind gust
was 39 mph on the 30th.

Looking ahead, the December outlook for Middle Tennessee from the
Climate Prediction Center favors above normal rainfall and near
normal rainfall.
