The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  East Central Cheatham County in middle Tennessee...
  Northwestern Davidson County in middle Tennessee...
  Southeastern Robertson County in middle Tennessee...
  Southwestern Sumner County in middle Tennessee...

* Until 500 PM CDT.

* At 259 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  very heavy rain across southern Robertson and northern Davidson
  Counties. Radar estimates up to 3 inches of rain have fallen in
  the past hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Ashland City, Hendersonville, Goodlettsville, White House,
  Millersville, Greenbrier, Coopertown, Ridgetop, Joelton, Whites
  Creek and Beaman Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
