...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northwestern Sumner
and northeastern Robertson Counties through 745 PM CDT...

At 659 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Cross Plains, or 12 miles northeast of Springfield, moving northeast
at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
White House, Cross Plains, Portland, Orlinda, Mitchellville and Black
Jack.

This includes Interstate 65 between mile markers 108 and 120.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
Middle Tennessee.
