The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Northeastern De Kalb County in middle Tennessee...
  Southwestern Jackson County in middle Tennessee...
  Southwestern Putnam County in middle Tennessee...
  Smith County in middle Tennessee...
  Central Trousdale County in middle Tennessee...
  Northeastern Wilson County in middle Tennessee...

* Until 230 AM CDT.

* At 1224 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
  fallen with additional rainfall expected.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Carthage, Gainesboro, Hartsville, Baxter, Gordonsville, Hickman,
  South Carthage, Granville, Pleasant Shade, Center Hill Lake, Edgar
  Evans State Park and Dixon Springs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
