The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Cumberland County in middle Tennessee...
  Fentress County in middle Tennessee...
  Overton County in middle Tennessee...
  Pickett County in middle Tennessee...
  Southeastern Putnam County in middle Tennessee...
  Eastern White County in middle Tennessee...

* Until midnight CDT.

* At 852 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated several rounds of
  thunderstorms that produced heavy rain across the warned area.
  Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall
  amounts up to 1.5 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash
  flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.  Reports have
  been received of a few roads having water across them.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Crossville, Livingston, Jamestown, Byrdstown, Monterey, Allardt,
  Pleasant Hill, Crawford, Clarkrange, Grimsley, Slate Springs,
  Rickman, Cumberland Mountain State Park, Lake Tansi, Pall Mall,
  Virgin Falls State Natural Area, Indian Rock Lake and Pickett
  State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
