The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Western Cumberland County in middle Tennessee...
  Southeastern Overton County in middle Tennessee...
  Southeastern Putnam County in middle Tennessee...
  Eastern Van Buren County in middle Tennessee...
  Eastern White County in middle Tennessee...

* Until 645 PM CDT.

* At 249 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
  expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3.5
  inches of rain have fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Monterey, Pleasant Hill and Virgin Falls State Natural Area.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
