...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following areas,
Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, Davidson, De
Kalb, Dickson, Fentress, Giles, Grundy, Hickman, Houston,
Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall, Maury,
Montgomery, Overton, Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson,
Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren, Warren,
  Wayne, White, Williamson and Wilson.

* Through this evening

* Rainfall continues this morning with reported overnight rainfall
totals as high as 7 to 10 inches across central portions of the
mid state. Additional rainfall totals of up to 1 inch this morning
will act to only further worsen the ongoing flooding across much
of the area. Look for the heaviest rainfall to occur across the
  Plateau area early this morning.

* Additional rainfall this morning will combine with the earlier
heavy rainfall totals overnight. This will cause excess runoff and
areas of flash flooding in the watch area, including fast water
level rises on area rivers and creeks. Keep in mind that even
though the precipitation will end by afternoon, river levels may
  still continue to rise.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to
Flash Flooding. Flash Flooding is a very dangerous situation. You
should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should
Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
