The National Weather Service in Nashville has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Davidson County in middle Tennessee...
  Northwestern Rutherford County in middle Tennessee...
  Wilson County in middle Tennessee...

* Until 900 AM CDT.

* At 334 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Lebanon, Hendersonville, Smyrna, La Vergne, Mount Juliet,
  Lakewood, Watertown, Belinda City, Rural Hill, Hermitage, Old
  Hickory, Gladeville, Green Hill, Dickerson Chapel Recreation Area,
  Tuckers Crossroads and Percy Priest Lake.

Areas of concern include Stoners Creek and Hermitage, Suggs Creek
including Gladeville and Rural Hill, Cedar Creek in Mount Juliet,
and Spence Creek, Bartons Creek, and Spring Creek in Lebanon.

The intense rainfall has weakened to moderate rain showers which
will gradually taper off through the night, but the risk for
dangerous flash flooding remains.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
