...FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY FOR METRO NASHVILLE, BRENTWOOD, FRANKLIN,
AND MOUNT JULIET...

The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Davidson County in middle Tennessee...
  Northeastern Williamson County in middle Tennessee...
  West Central Wilson County in middle Tennessee...

* Until 430 AM CDT.

* At 1241 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
  expected to begin shortly.

  This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Metro Nashville, Brentwood,
  Franklin, and Mount Juliet. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS
  SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK
           HIGHER GROUND NOW! Life threatening flash flooding of
           low water crossings, small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Franklin, Nashville, Brentwood, La Vergne, Mount Juliet,
  Nolensville, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, Belle Meade, Antioch,
  Hermitage, Rural Hill, Berry Hill, Percy Priest Lake and Green
  Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to higher ground now! This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
