The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central Davidson County in Middle Tennessee...
  Central Sumner County in Middle Tennessee...
  Northeastern Williamson County in Middle Tennessee...
  Northwestern Wilson County in Middle Tennessee...

* Until 500 PM CDT.

* At 423 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Forest Hills,
  or near Franklin, moving northeast at 75 mph.

  HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Franklin, Gallatin, Nashville, Madison, Hendersonville, Brentwood,
  Mount Juliet, Goodlettsville, White House, Millersville, Forest
  Hills, Oak Hill, Belle Meade, Lakewood, Portland, Hermitage,
  Bellevue, Antioch, Old Hickory and Berry Hill.

Sumner County Covid-19 Vaccine will also be impacted.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 40 between mile markers 201 and 224.
 Interstate 65 between mile markers 65 and 100.
 Interstate 24 between mile markers 42 and 59.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can
develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not
immediately likely, if one is spotted, act quickly and move to a
place of safety inside a sturdy structure such as a basement or
small interior room.

Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground
lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately.
Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
