AM CDT...

At 824 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Kingston Springs, or 13 miles south of Ashland City, moving south at
15 mph.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes, brief heavy rainfall,
small hail, and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Kingston Springs, Pegram, Fairview and Natchez Trace At Highway 96.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 187 and 194.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Breif heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to ponding of water on area roadways up to localized minor flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
