The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Central Maury County in middle Tennessee...
  Northwestern Rutherford County in middle Tennessee...
  Southeastern Williamson County in middle Tennessee...
  Southern Wilson County in middle Tennessee...

* Until 1115 PM CST.

* At 910 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
  fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Murfreesboro, Franklin, Columbia, Lebanon, Smyrna, Brentwood, La
  Vergne, Spring Hill, Nolensville, Thompson's Station, Watertown,
  Rural Hill, Walterhill, Triune, Gladeville, Cedars Of Lebanon
  State Park, Santa Fe, Williamsport, Tuckers Crossroads and
  Hampshire.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
