...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CST THIS
EVENING FOR CHEATHAM, NORTHWESTERN DAVIDSON, DICKSON, SOUTHEASTERN
HOUSTON, HUMPHREYS, SOUTHEASTERN MONTGOMERY, ROBERTSON AND NORTHERN
SUMNER COUNTIES...

At 705 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing very
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
has fallen in the past 1 to 2 hours. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding.

SOURCE...Doppler radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Springfield, Dickson, Ashland City, Waverly, White House,
  Millersville, Greenbrier, Coopertown, New Johnsonville, Ridgetop,
  McEwen, Cross Plains, Portland, Hurricane Mills, Pleasant View,
  Charlotte, Orlinda, Adams, Vanleer and Cedar Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
