...Several Rounds of Winter Weather Possible Tonight through
Next Thursday Across Mid State Region...

Several weather systems will move across mid state region through
next Thursday. With cold air expected to remain across mid state
region, several possible rounds of winter weather impacting
mid state region expected.

After midnight tonight, freezing drizzle will be possible mainly
across locations around and east of I-65 Corridor with the
possiblity of freezing drizzle lasting until Saturday mid
morning hours. Light ice accumulations could be possible.
Patchy freezing fog could also develop late tonight and last
until mid morning hours on Saturday mainly across Cumberland
Plateau Region. Light snowfall may also occur across our area
from mid through late morning hours on Saturday. Some slight
accumulations possible. Although amounts of ice and snow are not
expected to reach advisory thresholds, the development of some
isolated slick spots on area roadways are likely, especially on
secondary ones. Exercise caution while driving on area roadways
tonight through Saturday morning.

At least two more weather systems look to impact mid state region
over next seven days. One will be during the Sunday night through
Monday night time frame and Wednesday through Thursday
afternoon. Both of these events could feature initially wintry
mix precipitation transitioning to all snowfall before ending
across mid state region. Some significant snow accumulation
amounts possible with both of these systems.

With still a great deal of uncertainly concerning specific
location timing impacts and wintry mix / snowfall total amounts,
please continue to monitor this developing weather situation
as weekend progresses. Additional statements along with possible
advisories, watches and warnings may need to be issued later.

If you have travel plans, make preparations to keep an extra
flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an
emergency. Power outages may also be possible. To keep current
with latest road conditions, call 5 1 1.
