Middle Tennessee as the morning hours progress. Two to three
inches of rainfall, with locally higher amounts of around
five inches, will be possible across the mid state today.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM CDT THROUGH 7 PM
CDT THIS EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of Middle Tennessee, including
  the following areas, Bedford, Clay, Davidson, Giles, Hickman,
  Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall, Maury, Overton,
  Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Rutherford, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale,
  Wayne, Williamson, and Wilson.

* From 5 AM CDT through 7 PM CDT this evening.

* Showers and thunderstorms have initially developed southwest to
  northeast across Middle Tennessee as the early morning hours
  have progressed. Showers and thunderstorms will continue to
  develop as the morning hours continue. 2 to 3 inches of
  rainfall, with locally higher amounts up to around 5 inches,
  will be possible.

* This heavy rainfall could fall within a short period of time
  causing flooding of streets and low lying areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
