.As showers and thunderstorms develop and move across southern
portions of Middle Tennessee from mid morning hours today through
evening hours tonight, 1 to 2 inches, with some locations
experiencing around 3 inches, of rainfall could fall within a
short period of time.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM CDT THIS MORNING THROUGH
1 AM CDT WEDNESDAY...

The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of Middle Tennessee, including
  the following areas, Bedford, Coffee, Giles, Grundy, Lawrence,
  Lewis, Marshall, Maury, Van Buren, Warren, and Wayne.

* From 7 AM CDT this morning through 1 AM CDT Wednesday

* Heavy showers and thunderstorms will move across the area this
  morning through evening hours tonight. 1 to 2 inches, with some
  locations experiencing around 3 inches, of rainfall could fall
  within a short period of time causing flooding of streets and
  low lying areas.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
