The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Southeastern Jackson County in middle Tennessee...
  Central Putnam County in middle Tennessee...

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 332 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly in the advisory area.

* Intense rainfall rates will lead to rapid rises in the smaller
  creeks and streams, and in urban areas.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Cookeville, Algood, Baxter and Cummins Falls State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
