At 142 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Belle Meade, or 7 miles west of Nashville, moving southwest at 10
mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Nashville, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, Belle Meade, Berry Hill, Beaman
Park, Bells Bend and Whites Creek.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 40 between mile markers 198 and 213.
 Interstate 65 between mile markers 80 and 93.
 Interstate 24 between mile markers 41 and 49.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
