...Heat Index Values Above 100 Degrees This Afternoon...

Dewpoints in the low 70s with temperatures in the mid to upper
90s will combine to bring heat index values of around 100 to 105
this afternoon. If you plan to be outside, drink plenty of fluids,
wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing, and take frequent
breaks. Check up on relatives and neighbors, and if you can,
reschedule strenuous activities to the early morning or evening.
Young children or pets should never be left unattended in vehicles
under any circumstances. Heat index values should decrease in the
late afternoon and early evening.
