The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Central Putnam County in Middle Tennessee...

* Until 1030 PM CST.

* At 729 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
  Doppler radar estimates one-half to one inch of rain has already
  fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Cookeville and Monterey.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 282 and 301.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
