Areas affected...northern Alabama into southern Tennessee

Concerning...Tornado Watch 23...

Valid 060033Z - 060230Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 23 continues.

SUMMARY...A line of storms may produce localized damage over parts
of far northern Alabama into southern Middle Tennessee.

DISCUSSION...Radar shows a QLCS moving east along the AL/TN border,
coincident with the surface low and on the northern fringe of the
instability plume. Shear is quite strong, and favorable for both
damaging winds or even a brief tornado. This line of storms is
eventually expected to outrun the better instability, as surface
observations show relatively cool air over northern GA. Before this
occurs, isolated severe gusts may reach parts of southeastern TN or
northwest GA.
