...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHWESTERN VAN BUREN AND
SOUTHEASTERN WARREN COUNTIES UNTIL 315 PM CDT...

At 235 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13
miles north of Gruetli-Laager, or 13 miles southeast of McMinnville,
moving southeast at 5 mph.

Half inch hail, winds in excess of 40 mph, frequent cloud to ground
lightning strikes, and brief heavy rainfall will be possible with
this storm.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Van
Buren and southeastern Warren Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Brief heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized minor flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
