NORTHWESTERN RUTHERFORD AND SOUTHWESTERN WILSON COUNTIES UNTIL 330 PM
CDT...

At 255 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
La Vergne, or 13 miles northwest of Murfreesboro, moving north at 25
mph.

Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Lebanon, Smyrna, La Vergne, Mount Juliet, Hermitage, Rural Hill,
Belinda City, Walterhill, Percy Priest Lake and Gladeville.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 40 between mile markers 217 and 234.
 Interstate 24 between mile markers 62 and 69.
 Interstate 840 between mile markers 59 and 73.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
