...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHWESTERN DAVIDSON...
NORTHEASTERN DICKSON...MONTGOMERY...CHEATHAM AND ROBERTSON COUNTIES
UNTIL 800 AM CDT...

At 720 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 15
miles south of Clarksville, moving northeast at 35 mph.

Pea size hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Clarksville, Springfield, Ashland City, White House, Millersville,
Greenbrier, Coopertown, Ridgetop, Cross Plains, Pleasant View, Adams,
Cedar Hill, Cumberland City, Cheatham Dam, Palmyra, Woodlawn and
Cunningham.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 65 between mile markers 109 and 114.
 Interstate 24 between mile markers 4 and 34.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
