The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Smith County in Middle Tennessee...
  Davidson County in Middle Tennessee...
  Northwestern Rutherford County in Middle Tennessee...
  Northeastern Williamson County in Middle Tennessee...
  Wilson County in Middle Tennessee...
  Southwestern Trousdale County in Middle Tennessee...

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 325 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have
  already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Lebanon, Carthage, Nashville, Brentwood, La Vergne, Mount Juliet,
  Forest Hills, Oak Hill, Belle Meade, Lakewood, Watertown,
  Gordonsville, Hermitage, Rural Hill, Bellevue, Antioch, Belinda
  City, Hickman, South Carthage and Berry Hill.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 40 between mile markers 193 and 266.
 Interstate 65 between mile markers 71 and 89.
 Interstate 24 between mile markers 47 and 63.
 Interstate 840 between mile markers 64 and 76.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
