SOUTHWESTERN SUMNER...NORTHEASTERN CHEATHAM AND SOUTH CENTRAL
ROBERTSON COUNTIES UNTIL 930 PM CDT...

At 906 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Greenbrier, or 8 miles south of Springfield, moving southeast at 20
mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph, frequent cloud to ground lightning
strikes, brief heavy rainfall, and pea size hail will be possible
with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Springfield, Madison, Hendersonville, Goodlettsville, Millersville,
Greenbrier, Coopertown, Ridgetop, Joelton, Pleasant View, Beaman Park
and Whites Creek.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 65 between mile markers 89 and 103.
 Interstate 24 between mile markers 26 and 44.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
