PICKETT...NORTHERN CUMBERLAND...EAST CENTRAL PUTNAM AND FENTRESS
COUNTIES UNTIL 645 PM CDT...

At 559 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles northeast of Monterey, or 13 miles southeast of Livingston,
moving east at 35 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Jamestown, Fairfield Glade, Allardt, Grimsley, Slate Springs,
Clarkrange, Crawford and Pickett State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 308 and 315.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
