This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Middle
Tennessee.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

No hazardous weather at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Gusty winds can be expected Saturday into Sunday across
the mid state. The greatest potential of gusts will be
on Saturday morning where gusts could approach 40 mph.

Numerous moderate to heavy rain showers along with a few
thunderstorms are expected across the mid state as Saturday
progresses. Rainfall totals are likely to range between
1 to around 2 inches with locally higher amounts possible.
Minor flooding of small creeks, streams, low lying areas
and other flood prone locations may occur.

Rain showers are expected to quickly change over to light snow
showers Saturday evening and into the early morning hours of
Sunday. Snow accumulations will range from a dusting to a few
tenths of an inch for locations north of I-40. The greatest
accumulations are expected to be around one half of an inch
across the higher elevations of the Upper Cumberland Region.

Light snow, along with any leftover standing water on area
roadways, bridges and overpasses, could freeze and cause
travel difficulties from Saturday evening into Sunday.

Very cold temperatures are expected on Monday morning, with
lows dropping generally into the teens. Wind chills may fall
to near or below zero in some areas.

Additional light snow may occur again Wednesday night into
Thursday. Significant uncertainty remains concerning possible
accumulation amounts as of this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed on Saturday into Sunday for
localized flooding and snowfall accumulation reports.
