...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM CST FOR
NORTHERN DAVIDSON...SUMNER...NORTHWESTERN WILSON...NORTHEASTERN
CHEATHAM AND ROBERTSON COUNTIES...

At 626 PM CST, heavy rain continues to stream into the warned area.
Waters continue to rise and swift water rescues are going on in
Sumner county.  Please don't take this lightly.  If you live near a
river, stream or creek you know floods easily, get to higher ground
now.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Gallatin, Springfield, Ashland City, Madison, Hendersonville,
Goodlettsville, White House, Millersville, Greenbrier, Coopertown,
Westmoreland, Ridgetop, Cross Plains, Portland, Old Hickory, Joelton,
Pleasant View, Orlinda, Mitchellville and Bledsoe Creek State Park.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 65 between mile markers 89 and 121.
 Interstate 24 between mile markers 26 and 44.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
