...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM CST FOR
OVERTON...PICKETT...CUMBERLAND...EAST CENTRAL CLAY...NORTHEASTERN
PUTNAM AND FENTRESS COUNTIES...

At 242 PM CST, reports have come in across the warned area for
closed roads and washed out culverts. While heavy rains have exited
the warning area, creeks and rivers are running extremely high, if
not already overflowing and spilling into roadways.  Please do not
try to drive through flooded areas.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Crossville, Livingston, Jamestown, Byrdstown, Fairfield Glade, Crab
Orchard, Allardt, Pleasant Hill, Grimsley, Cumberland Mountain State
Park, Slate Springs, Rickman, Pall Mall, Lake Tansi, Indian Rock
Lake, Clarkrange, Crawford and Pickett State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 306 and 340.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
