  Cumberland River At Pennington Bend affecting Davidson County

.Recent and forecast rainfall along with releases from area dams will
continue to cause rises along the Cumberland River this week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

from the National Weather Service.

The Flood Advisory continues for
  The Cumberland River At Pennington Bend
* Until further notice.
* At 08AM Tuesday the stage was 42.2 feet...and holding steady.
* Action stage is 42.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 47.0 feet.
* At 44.0 feet...Water continues to inundate low lying areas along the river,
  including properties on Berwick Trail, areas near Gibson Creek on Denson Ave
  and Yale Ave, portions of Opryland near Mc Gavock Pike, and properties in the
  River Glen and River Trace subdivisions.
* At 42.0 feet...Low lying areas along the river around Pennington Bend are
  inundated from near the River Trace subdivision to the Cumberland River
  Greenway bridge in Shelby Bottoms Park.
