...Wintry Mix May Cause Travel Impacts Tonight...

Rain will develop across the area late today, continuing into
tonight. As temperatures fall tonight, the rain will change over
to a wintry mix for the northwest part of Middle Tennessee. This
includes Clarksville, Dover, Waverly, Dickson, Ashland City, and
Springfield.

The wintry mix could include sleet, freezing rain, and a few
snowflakes. Any sleet or snow accumulations are expected to be
minor, but a layer of ice could form, creating hazardous travel
conditions as soon as 9 PM CST.

At this time, it looks like slick spots will be scattered and
mainly on elevated surfaces like bridges and overpasses.

All of the precipitation is expected to come to an end before
daybreak Saturday. Any slick spots will improve by mid morning
Saturday as temperatures warm above freezing.

Caution is advised for travelers across northwest Middle Tennessee
tonight.
